• In order to make a bid or buy at THE ANTIQUES AUCTIONS you need to register.
• Please go to Home and then Sign Up and follow the steps to get the username and password that you need for all your transactions on this site.

Search and Trace a lot for Auctions.

• Find the on-going listed auction sales at Auctions.
• In Catalogues you may find the on-going auction's catalogues which include descriptions and pictures of the lots being offered as well as the base price for each lot.
• Additionally, you have information on the highest bid reached up to now, and a scale that gives you the necessary information on the required amount for the next bidding offer.

How to place a bid.

• In order to make a bid, please go to Catalogues and click on the desired auction.
• Then go to the lot you wish to bid.
• Then click on the lot number or name and the Bidding page opens.
• Fill the form and follow the instructions.
• If you do not have a username and password you should get one now. Also follow registration directions.

Successful Highest Bids

• Every time you are the successful highest bidder and you win a lot you get an e-mail from THE ANTIQUES AUCTIONS in your mailbox.

Payments

• We receive payments exclusively through Pay Pal.
• The total cost of the lot includes the amount of the best bid and the buyer's commission which is 10% of the total bid.

Shipment

• Shipping expenses are the sole responsibility of the buyer
• As a courtesy to our clients THE ANTIQUES AUCTIONS may suggest courier companies for shipment and delivery of small pieces and of moving companies for larger items.
• In no event and under no circumstances THE ANTIQUES AUCTIONS will be made responsible for the quality of the services of these companies with which we have no commercial or contract attachments.
• It is advisable that shipment costs are discussed prior to your bidding with the company of your choice.

In order to sell through THE ANTIQUES AUCTIONS please get your username and password by clicking in Sign Up in the Home Page.

If you would like to sell one or more items you need to contact us for a price estimate at info@theantiquesauctions.com

Estimates

• Please fill up the Request for an Estimation Form
• Send the form and clear pictures of the property you want to sell to info@theantiquesauctions.com.
• Once you have a valuation, if you decide to sell please fill up and sign the Consignment for Sale form.
• Alternatively, you may arrange an interview with our specialists.

Consignment for Sale

• All property consigned to sell with THE ANTIQUES AUCTIONS is included in the auctions catalogues.
• A photographer takes pictures of the lot or lots for the auction catalogues.
• A reserve or base price is always set for each lot is always agreed upon with the seller.
• Once the item has been consigned, photographed and catalogued it will be put up for auction together with other items until a specific date when the highest bidder will wins the item.
• Each item has a lot number, and is represented with pictures and a thorough description which includes its condition, size, quality, marks and provenance - if any- as well as it base price.
• The best offer wins the lot at the time of the closing of the auction, as announced on the corresponding catalogue.
• In order to find your piece and follow the offers you may click in Search. Also you may choose to find your item by clicking in Categories and or Catalogues.
• In case a lot does not sell it will be included on following auctions according to the seller's preference.

Online Auction Dynamics

Each of the online auctions at the site will take approximately 20 days .At the announced closing time of the auction, the last and highest bidder wins the lot

Commissions and fees

• THE ANTIQUES AUCTIONS charges a 15% seller's commission.
• In case the seller ends the consignment agreement before the final date of the online auction in progress, the seller is responsible for the payment of the selling fee of 15%, according to our Terms and Conditions.
• In case the lot does not sell the seller is not responsible for the payment of a fee.
• Buyer's commission is 10% of the total best bid payable only through Pay Pal.

Payment to sellers

• The seller is paid as soon as THE ANTIQUES AUCTIONS receives payment from the buyer.
• The whole process may take approximately 15 working days after the end of the auction.

Shipment

• The buyer is responsible for shipping costs.
• THE ANTIQUES AUCTIONS may suggest shipper companies as a courtesy to our clients
• We will not be held responsible towards their services and we do not have any commercial contract or attachments to these companies.
